Swanson puts Black Rock behind him, looks forward to Selinsgrove.

Jonathan Swanson made the 5 hr hike up to Black Rock Speedway located inDundee,NYlast Friday night.  With a field of 40 360 Sprints on hand Swanson knew his work would be cut out for him just to make the 24 car starting field.  Luck would not be on Swanson’s side as he would retire from the heat race with a broke rear end.  Barely getting out in time for his B-Main Swanson would fail to make to difficult race.

Back in his home state on Saturday night at NewEgyptSpeedway.  Swanson saw another huge field of 40 305 TSRS Sprint Cars on hand.  Swanson would finish 2nd in his heat race and would end up 12th in the feature.

This weekend the 17j travels west into PA to the Selinsgrove Speedway for the 7th Annual Jack Gunn Memorial presented by MACH 1 Chassis.  The winner of the 30 lap Gunn Memorial feature event will collect $3,500 for the win, $1,000 for fifth, $500 for tenth with $225 offered just to take the green flag. Swanson and the 17j crew have their eye on that $3,500 top prize.  Look for the 17j to be running up front this weekend at Selinsgrove.

After the races don’t just get in your car and head home.  Instead take the family to the 17j trailer for some autographs and possibly a T-Shirt.  Be sure to follow all the Jonathan Swanson happenings at www.jonathanswansonracing17j.com
