Swanson and crew towed out to the Lincoln Speedway located in Abbotsford, PA this past weekend. Swanson time trialed in the 9th spot. Swanson finished 5th in heat race #3 and would go on to finish just 1 spot out of the handicapping spot, nonetheless qualifying for the nightly feature. Swanson would bring home the 17j in the 11th spot.
BAD LUCK, that’s the best way to describe the 2011 racing season for Jonathan Swanson. On Friday, July 1st, Swanson and crew traveled down the Georgetown Speedway. Swanson would qualify through the heat race. On the initial start of the feature, Swanson was caught up in another driver’s mess, and would have to retire the 17j for the evening with a bent frame. Swanson would thrash all night to compete the next night at New Egypt Speedway. At New Egypt, Swanson again would qualify through the heat race. For the feature, Swanson piloted the 17j to a 14th place finish. Swanson indicated that they had just missed the set up for the feature.
