Jonathan Swanson launches new website; announces new sponsor for 2011
The 2011 season will bring many new and exciting changes for the 3rd year URC driver. Swanson has steadily improved in his first two years on the URC circuit. Two short years ago Swanson made the jump from the Bridgeport Jasper Series to the 360 URC tour. Swanson’s first year brought many learning experiences. Swanson raced at tracks for the first time and had to adjust to the hectic URC schedule and travel. This past year with URC, Swanson developed into a driver to be reckoned with. Swanson finished a career best 10th in points. Along with that came his 1st URC win at the Big Diamond Speedway. Swanson wrapped up the year taking home URC’s most improved driver award. This award has been won by the likes of Davey Sammons and JJ Grasso. Swanson didn’t stop there. He was able to wrap up one of the most prestigious sponsorships in racing. PPB (Pioneer Pole Buildings) came on board just in time to make the announcement at the annual awards banquet in December. PPB is a well know company in the modified ranks with the likes of Billy Pauch, Craig VonDohren, Billy Pauch Jr., and Keith Hoffman all driving for owner Bob Greene at one time or another. (more…)
